--There has been an injury update for The Rock. He tore his abdomen during his WrestleMania 29 match with John Cena and it looked like his availability for his upcoming movie "Hercules" was in doubt. According to The Rock's Twitter account on April 13, those plans are not in danger.
"Injury update: Dr's & I elected not to reattach tendons to my pelvis. They'll just scar up. Now I prep to shoot HERCULES," The Rock posted.
This is good news for both The Rock and the WWE. There were some concerns that if he missed out on making the trip to Croatia to shoot the "Hercules" movie, future movie roles might start to add stipulations keeping The Rock, and other wrestlers, out of the ring when shooting time draws near.
Of course, The Rock created waves when he no-showed "WWE Monday Night Raw" the night after his injury. The writing staff was thrown into a frenzy as they had to re-write the show because much of it revolved around The Rock and Brock Lesnar having an epic confrontation. It turns out that, while many backstage didn't know The Rock no-showed, he did talk to WWE executives about it before heading back to Miami to see his doctor.
Some even questioned whether The Rock was injured at all when he tweeted later in the week that he was waking up early for a workout, but then he tweeted later that he was in a lot of pain from the injury based on his workout. While The Rock injury updates should continue for awhile, it seems "Hercules" is in no danger.
