Coffeyville Police Investigate Shooting
On September 1st, 2013, at 5:38 pm the Coffeyville Police Department responded to the Sonic Drive-In located at 802 W. 11th Street to investigate a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered that 30 year-old Joseph Cardillo, of Girard KS, and 24 year-old Damien Illaodo, of Girard KS, had each received multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
Coffeyville police officers located and arrested alleged shooter, 27 year-old Robert Jay Bocook, of Coffeyville, who was still at the scene of the crime. Bocook was transported and booked into the Montgomery County Jail for two counts of attempted murder in the 2nd degree, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and criminal damage to property.

One man is in custody and two people remain in serious condition in a Coffeyville hospital following a shooting at the Coffeyville Sonic Drive-In, 802 W. 11, shortly after 5:30 p.m., Sunday.
Police chief Anthony Celeste said Robert Jay Bocook, age 27, of Coffeyville was arrested and will be charged with two counts of attempted murder in the 2nd degree, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and criminal damage to property.
Celeste said that when police officers arrived at the drive-in, they found Joseph Cardillo, age 30, and Damien Illaodo, age 24, both of Girard, Kan., with multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in serious condition.
Bocook was still at the drive-in and immediately placed under arrest.
